Watch Ultra Solo Loops and HomePod 2

HomePod is In-Hand!
As I write this I'm currently listening to Hans Zimmer's Interstellar soundtrack on a pair of new HomePods. Over the weekend I plan to test both music playback and home theater viewing compared to Sonos Beam, Sonos Arc, and my full 7.1 Dolby Atmos system.

First impressions? They sound great, of course. My first test is always Mozart's Requiem, Lacrimosa movement. If you can hear the first chord clearly played by the strings, you're off to a good start. And that's the case with these new HomePods. The Jupiter movement of Holst's planets is also a fun listen.
From the few movie scores and classical works I've listened to so far, they're super crisp and clear across the spectrum. Low end is strong but not overbearing. In general, a pair create quite the immersive and engaging atmosphere.
I'll be testing Siri on Home commands and responsiveness when compared to the old model as well, but rest assured it's just like the HomePod mini. Meaning, noticeably better than the old HomePod.
If you'd like to keep track of the playlist I'll be using to review, you can listen on Apple Music here:
And for the unboxing viewers, a little ASMR HomePod for you here:
HomePod unboxing ASMR anyone? And does Apple plan that sound when you lift the top??

One of my favorite HomePod reviews came from Digital Trends earlier this week that really went in-depth on the home theater aspect. Check that out here:
A full video review will be coming to the channel early next week. I thought about rushing it, but I'd like to really take some time and listen to various audio setups around the house and judge them at the $600 price point they are for a pair. Stay tuned and subscribe!
Apple Watch Ultra Side Note
While all the excitement is around HomePod at the moment, if you have an Apple Watch Ultra and love the solo loop bands like I do, take a look at my recent videos on how to judge your sizing. If you had solo loops from Series 7 or earlier, they're not going to fit like you expect:
Finally, one of the most popular Shorts from the past week is all about Guided Access. If you have kids, or hand your iPhone to kids often, this is a must watch:
